Limited Product Warranty for Impact Decorative Glass Inserts
Warranty Coverage:
Subject to the conditions, exclusions and limitations stated herein Brum Art Glass, Incorporated warrants that its glass doors are free from defects in material and workmanship that would render the Product unfit for its normal and recommended use.
This warranty begins at the date of installation and is applicable to the original purchaser only.
THE BIG QUESTION: WHEN IS A DEFECT NOT A DEFECT?
How To Examine The Glass:
- Move away from the glass.
- Stand back 10 feet.
- Face the glass straight-on at 90 degrees.
- View in daylight but not direct sunlight.
- Inspect the central 80% portion of the glass.
Under these conditions, if you can’t see an imperfection from 10 feet – it isn’t a defect.
Warranty is as follows:
- 0-3 years no glass cost to customer (may be a labor charge)
- 4-5 year 50% replacement cost (may be a labor charge)
- 6-8 years 75% replacement cost (may be a labor charge)
This warranty does not cover:
- If the Product has any kind of film applied to the tempered glass.
- If the Product is power washed.
- If the Product is installed in high heat conditions such as behind a storm door or if the door and frame are painted a dark color.
- Labor, shipping or other charges to repair or replace the Product.
If, Brum Art Glass elects to provide a replacement Product, the limited warranty on the replacement Product will last for the balance of the warranty on the original Product. This warranty is not transferable.
Insert Frame Finishing Instructions
We recommend painting the frames:
- For increased paint adhesion use adhesion promoting primer made for use with polypropylene or aluminum, depending on which frame you have.
- Finish with exterior grade light color paint and follow paint manufacturers cautions, warnings and instruction.
